Introduction
This tea is crafted from carefully selected early-spring arbor ancient-tree leaves from Menghai, refined using the Dayi tea-making techniques recognized on China’s National Intangible Cultural Heritage List. In 2003, Menghai Tea Factory first released the Menghai Early Spring Arbor Ripe Pu-erh Cake. As a high-end ripe Pu-erh, it became one of the factory’s early premium offerings.
Tea Characteristics
In 2018, the classic Menghai Early Spring Arbor Cake makes a return. Early-spring Menghai leaves are rich in young-bud character, building depth and releasing complexity over time. Ancient arbor trees contribute a mellow, lingering aroma and an elegant, upright character, offering great depth in the cup. The flavor is smooth, thick, and naturally sweet, with the distinctive qi of ancient-tree tea. Suitable for immediate enjoyment or long-term aging.
